This master’s concentration was designed from the ground-up with the needs of working professionals in mind. During our 36-credit program, you'll work to deepen your understanding of in-depth concepts that may help you distinguish yourself in this ever-changing field and advance in your career. You’ll take an array of courses that focus on marketing analytics, search engine optimization (SEO), and more. Plus, you’ll gain a solid foundation with core courses in organizational theory, finance, and statistics and a marketing planning capstone.

The UCSP 615 requirement may be waived if you previously earned a graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution. For more information, contact your academic advisor.

  • (3 Credits, MGMT 610) and (3 Credits, MGMT 615) may be taken instead of (6 Credits, MGMT 630).
  • (3 Credits, MGMT 640) should not be attempted simultaneously with (3 Credits, MGMT 650).
  • You must complete 24 credits of program coursework, including all core courses, before enrolling in (3 Credits, MGMT 670).

General Master's Degree Requirements

  • You must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher at all times.
  • All degree requirements must be fulfilled within five consecutive years.
  • Any transfer credits must have been earned within the above five-year time frame to be applied toward a graduate degree.

Earn a Dual Master's with MBA/Marketing

If you earn an MBA from UMGC, you may be able to earn a second master’s degree in management with a specialization in marketing and save up to 12 credits through our dual degree option. You must start the second degree program within two years of completing the MBA. 

To complete the second degree, you must complete all specialization courses and (3 Credits, MGMT 670).
