We partner with several military colleges to grant credit toward associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees, as well as certificates based on recommendations by the American Council on Education Guide to the Evaluation of Education Experiences in the Armed Services.

Transfer Credits to an Associate's Degree
Apply credits from your military training and education toward a credential-boosting associate's degree.
College of the American Soldier
If you are a non-commissioned officer, choose UMGC as your home college and receive credit through the College of the American Soldier based on the Non-Commissioned Officer Education System courses and other training you've completed. You may be able to apply your credits toward an Associate of Arts in General Studies with specialized curriculum in Business and Management or Management Studies. CAS is accepted and supported by ACE.
Community College of the Air Force and GEM
If you can earn 15 of the 64 credits you need for a Community College of the Air Force associate's degree at UMGC through the General Education Mobile program. Later, you can transfer your airman's associate's degree credits back to complete your bachelor's degree at UMGC. Marine Corps Career College
You can apply your credits from your military experience toward an Associate of Arts in General Studies with a specialized curriculum in Business and Management or Management Studies.
Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership
Depending on your occupation, you can apply credit from your military education to your Associate of Arts degree at UMGC.
Apply credits from your military training and education toward a powerful, recognized bachelor's degree.
Community College of the Air Force
If you are an airman completing any Community College of the Air Force Associate of Applied Science degree, many of your credits will transfer to a bachelor's degree program at UMGC. Plus if your program is part of the Air University Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative, you can now link your degree to a UMGC bachelor's degree, maximize the number of credits you receive, and make a seamless transition to your bachelor's degree.
Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer Program
If your rank is Warrant Officer and your specialty is Operations Systems or Information System Management, you may be able to apply as many as 21 credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. If your specialty is Finance and Supply, you may be able to apply as many as 18 credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies with a minor in Contract Management in Acquisition.
Defense Acquisition University
If you are a current or former Defense Acquisition University student, you can earn a wide range of undergraduate degrees and certificates at UMGC to help meet DAU workforce requirements. You can receive credit for study completed with DAU based on ACE recommendations.
The program includes UMGC's undergraduate certificates and the following bachelor's degrees:

- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
- Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management

Defense Threat Reduction University
If you've taken classes through Defense Threat Reduction University, you may be able to apply your credits to an undergraduate degree program at UMGC.

If you have graduated from the nonresident seminar or correspondence program of the Air War College, you may be eligible to transfer 15 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Air and Space Strategic Studies.
Army Command and General Staff College
If you have graduated from Command and General Staff Officer Course under the Common Core Curriculum of the Intermediate-Level Education, you may be eligible to transfer 15 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Army Operations and National Security.
Defense Acquisition University
If you have successfully completed Program Management Level III Certification through DAU, you may be eligible to transfer 9 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Project Management. Defense Information School
If you have graduated from the Public Affairs Officer Course at the Defense Information School, you may be eligible to transfer 3 or 9 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Public Relations or Marketing. Joint Forces Staff College
If you have graduated from the Joint Forces Staff College, you may be eligible to transfer 9 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Joint Military Strategy.
Marine Corps College of Distance Education and Training
If you have graduated from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College Distance Education Program 8900 series from the College of Distance Education and Training, you may be eligible to transfer 15 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Marine Corps Operations.
National Defense University iCollege
If you have graduated from National Defense University's iCollege with a certification, you may be eligible to transfer as many as 12 graduate credits toward a graduate degree in financial management, cybersecurity, or information technology. Naval War College
If you have graduated from the nonresident seminar program of the Naval War College, you may be eligible to transfer 18 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Naval Operations and National Security. If you are a graduate of the web-enabled distance learning program of the NWC, you may be eligible to receive 12 graduate credits toward the degree.
