The bachelor’s degree in marketing at University of Maryland Global Campus offers an introduction to the fundamental concepts and strategies that constitute successful marketing management. It is designed to provide a thorough understanding of how to identify, retain, and grow profitable customer segments; create effective promotional programs; and develop integrated marketing communication tools, both in domestic and global markets. The program incorporates digital marketing strategies to meet the requirements of the modern marketplace.

A degree with a major in marketing requires the successful completion of 120 credits of coursework, including 36 credits for the major; 41 credits in general education requirements; and 43 credits in the minor, electives, and other degree requirements. You must also complete all related required coursework, which may be applied to general education or elective requirements, as part of the 120 credits required for the degree. At least 18 credits in the major must be earned in upper-level courses (numbered 300 or above). See overall degree requirements.
