UMGC Europe will hold its 70th annual commencement exercises on 30 April 2022 at 1400 at the Sportverein Obersülzen1970 eV, Grünstadter Str. 25, 67271 Obersülzen about a 25–30-minute drive from Kaiserslautern. The open-air ceremony will honor more than 1200 graduates from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa who have earned an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree with University of Maryland Global Campus and a bachelor's or master's degree with Salisbury University.

Student Check-In (1015 - 1215)

Student check-in is mandatory. Please check in no later than 1215. Upon check-in, the graduates and their guests will be given access to the venue.

Guest Seating Opens (1030)

Since this is an open-air event, guests and graduates will be seated outdoors (in case of inclement weather, we will move to a “drive-in theater style” event). UMGC Europe will have pre-event videos playing on the screen(s) for your entertainment, including helpful tips and information about the day. Complimentary light refreshments and drinks will also be available prior to the event.

Processional (1400)

The processional begins.

Live Streaming and Radio Broadcast (1400)

Graduates/guests attending in person can watch the livestream from their cellular devices or tune into a local radio station we will provide. Your family and friends can watch you graduate from anywhere in the world using our high-definition live streaming link or on Facebook Live. We invite everyone to tune in at 1400 CET to see their favorite graduate cross the stage.

Special note: Access to the Internet from the event location may be limited, so you may experience some technical difficulties while watching the live stream of the ceremony. We are very sorry if this does occur and apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Directly following the ceremony, you and your guests are invited to enjoy our reception.
