Learn the details of the commencement ceremony so you're prepared for graduation day at UMGC Europe.
UMGC Europe will hold its 74th annual commencement exercises on 27 April 2024 as we celebrate 75 years of providing service to students in Europe. The ceremony will honor graduates from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa who have earned an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree with University of Maryland Global Campus and a bachelor's or master's degree with Salisbury University.
Details and additional information may be provided closer to the ceremony date.
Student Check-In (1015 - 1215)
Student check-in is mandatory. Please check in no later than 1215.
Guest Seating Opens (1230)
The doors to the event hall will open at 1230 so guests can be seated. UMGC Europe will have pre-event videos playing on the screen(s) for your entertainment, including helpful tips and information about the day.
Graduate Line-Up (1245)
Graduates will gather in the check-in area for the line-up.
Processional (1400)
The ceremony begins.

Your family and friends can watch you graduate from anywhere in the world using our live streaming options. We invite everyone to tune in at 1350 CET to see their favorite graduate cross the stage.
Reception
Directly following the ceremony, you and your guests are invited to enjoy our reception.
