Gain foundational knowledge of human behavior, mental health, ethics, and current research in the field.

The certificate in clinical mental health care at University of Maryland Global Campus is designed to help prepare you for mental health service jobs that do not require licensure or credentialing. It supports work in direct and indirect client care activities performed under the supervision of a licensed professional (e.g., psychologist, medical doctor, social worker, or rehabilitation therapist) across multiple clinical settings (e.g., hospitals, behavioral health agencies, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations). The curriculum provides foundational theoretical and practical coverage of human behavior, mental health, ethics, and current research in the field.
