During our 36-credit program, you’ll take career-relevant courses designed to build your skills and expand your knowledge base. This program is designed to prepare you for relevant HR-related certification exams.

Our HR management program was designed with your needs in mind and is aligned with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) guidelines for graduate education. Here are a few of the ways we gear our curriculum toward working professionals:

  • This program is aligned with higher education standards set by the HR Certification Institute, the premier credentialing organization in the HR profession.

  • (0 Credits, UCSP 615)

This course must be taken within the first 6 credits of study (if required). The UCSP 615 requirement may be waived if you previously earned a graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution. For more information, contact your academic advisor.

Course Progression & Prerequisites 

  • (6 Credits, MGMT 630) (or (3 Credits, MGMT 610)) must be taken within the first 6 credits. 
  • (3 Credits, MGMT 610) and (3 Credits, MGMT 615) may be taken instead of (6 Credits, MGMT 630) 
  • (3 Credits, MGMT 640) should not be attempted simultaneously with (3 Credits, MGMT 650) 
  • You must complete 24 credits of program coursework, including all core courses, before enrolling in (3 Credits, MGMT 670) 

General Master's Degree Requirements

  • You must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher at all times.
  • All degree requirements must be fulfilled within five consecutive years.
  • Any transfer credits must have been earned within the above five-year time frame to be applied toward a graduate degree.
