UMGC in Maryland will have the IRS Form 1098-T for the prior tax year available on or before 31 January. If you have signed up to access the 1098-T form electronically, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access your document electronically when the form is ready. No paper form will be mailed to you.
If you have not signed up to access the 1098-T form electronically, a paper form will be mailed to the address listed in MyUMGC.
If you would like electronic access to your 1098-T statement, you must provide your consent in the MyUMGC Student Account Center.
If you have not received the 1098-T by 15 February or have questions concerning your tax form, contact UMGC in Maryland at studentaccounts@umgc.edu or call +1-800-888-8682.
Keep it with your tax information. It is not recommended to send Form 1098-T to the IRS with your Form 1040/1040A. The IRS has been furnished the appropriate information regarding your attendance with UMGC.
The form is provided because certain education tax credits exist for tuition and fees paid by the taxpayer. This document gives a summary of your tuition, fees, and financial aid during your enrollment at UMGC.
