Directions and Parking

The UMGC office is located in the Panzer Education Center, Building 2915, Room 406.

To find our location, please take Autobahn 8 (A8) in the direction of Karlsruhe-Munich. At the Autobahn-Kreuz Stuttgart-Vaihingen, exit onto German Federal Highway 831, toward Sindelfingen-Boeblingen. Exit right, off Highway 831, at the Boeblingen-Ost exit. At the end of the exit ramp, there is a traffic light. Get into the far left lane and turn left onto "Panzerstrasse." Panzer Kaserne is visible from Panzerstrasse and located on the right side of the road. Once you pass through the main gate and inspection point, follow the road straight until the first intersection and turn right. Continue straight until you come to the PX. There is parking available in front of the PX. Building 2915 is located across from the PX and the education center is located on the fourth floor.

Testing Services

UMGC offers National Test Centers (NTC) featuring exams and certifications in a wide variety of subject areas, on-site support, easy scheduling, and the benefit of instant score results. Available exams include College Level Examination Program (CLEP), DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), Pearson VUE, and Excelsior College exams. If you are interested in earning credit or certifications through testing services, contact us.

Who is Eligible?

Examinations are available to DANTES-funded active duty military servicemembers and eligible civilian employees and, on a space available basis, to all other examinees who have a U.S. military ID card.

Please note: Eligible civilians will incur a fee for testing. Additionally, if you are active duty military or civilian and not currently enrolled with UMGC, you can have your online internet-based exams officially proctored for a $35 fee. You can pay for exam fees by credit or debit card.

CLEP

How to Register

CLEP registration is a two-part process:

  1. Create an account, register for an exam, and receive a voucher registration ticket with CLEP College Board. Candidates must bring the corresponding CLEP registration ticket on the day of testing.

    Note: Active duty/reserve military members only will check a box that states they are eligible for DANTES-funded exams during the registration process.
    By selecting this and providing the necessary information, the exam total will be $0.00 when you confirm the order at the end of the registration process. If eligible DANTES-funded exam candidates do not select this box during the registration process, it will associate a fee with the exam.

  2. Schedule an appointment by calling or emailing your local NTC or through the NTC reservation system.
  3. For Camp Arifjan testers: schedule an appointment through the reservation system (Bookings).

DSST

How to Register

Schedule an appointment by calling or emailing your local NTC or through the NTC reservation system. No pre-registration with DSST is required; an account can be created on the day of testing.

How to Register

  1. Go to Pearson VUE military communities.
  2. Select Schedule an exam at a military test center under military communities on the right-hand side.
  3. Select the exam you wish to take from the list of choices provided.
  4. Register and create an account.
  5. To schedule an exam with a DoD site, select the button MILITARY COMMUNITY looking for on-base test centers, please click here.
  6. In the State/Province box provided, select Armed Forces, Europe & Other from the drop-down menu, click search, and select your desired DoD location to schedule an exam.
  7. For information regarding your specific exam, please contact Pearson VUE directly.
