Directions and Parking
The UMGC office is located in the Landstuhl College Center in Building 3722.
Landstuhl is located between Kaiserslautern and Pirmasens and is easily accessible from either the Autobahn 6 (A6) or Autobahn 62 (A62).
From the A62, please take the Landstuhl/Atzel-U.S. Hospital exit. At the end of the exit, make a left turn and follow the road and the signs for Gate 3 to the U.S. Hospital.
From the A6 (driving from Kaiserslautern), please take the A6 toward Saarbruecken. Take the Pirmasens/Hahn Airport exit from the A6 and follow the signs towards Pirmasens/A62. Exit onto the A62 at Landstuhl/Atzel-U.S. Hospital. At the end of the exit, make a left turn and follow the signs for Gate 3 to the hospital.
After entering the base through Gate 3 and passing through the inspection area, please make a right turn. After you pass the gas station, make a left turn at the car wash.
UMGC Office and Classroom Parking: The classroom and NTC are in the same building as the Landstuhl Office, Building 3722.

UMGC offers National Test Centers (NTC) featuring exams and certifications in a wide variety of subject areas, on-site support, easy scheduling, and the benefit of instant score results. Available exams include College Level Examination Program (CLEP), DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), Pearson VUE, and Excelsior College exams. Available Tests and Testing Hours
Who is Eligible?
Examinations are available to DANTES-funded active duty military servicemembers and eligible civilian employees and, on a space-available basis, to all other examinees who have a U.S. military ID card.
Please note: For some exams, an additional $35 sitting fee for testing will be payable to UMGC Europe. Sitting fees can be paid via credit or debit card at the NTC. We cannot accept cash payments for sitting fees at this time.
- If you are taking a DANTES-funded exam, the $35 sitting fee will be waived.
- If you are taking a Pearson VUE exam, the $35 sitting fee will be waived.
- If you are taking non-funded CLEP or DSST exams (including any retake exams by active-duty servicemembers), the $35 sitting fee will apply per exam title (e.g., if you take two CLEP exams during one testing session, a $35 sitting fee will be charged twice for a total of $70).
- If you are taking ASE exams, the $35 sitting fee will be charged for each 3-hour appointment, no matter how many exam titles are completed during the appointment.
- All other third-party exams not listed above will incur the $35 sitting fee per exam.

How to Register
CLEP registration is a two-part process:
- Create an account, register for an exam, and receive a voucher registration ticket with CLEP College Board. Candidates must bring the corresponding CLEP registration ticket on the day of testing.
Note: Active duty/reserve military members only will check a box that states they are eligible for DANTES-funded exams during the registration process.
By selecting this and providing the necessary information, the exam total will be $0.00 when you confirm the order at the end of the registration process. If eligible DANTES-funded exam candidates do not select this box during the registration process, it will associate a fee with the exam. - Schedule an appointment by calling or emailing your local NTC or through the Landstuhl NTC reservation system.

- Go to Pearson VUE military communities.
- Select Schedule an exam at a military test center under military communities on the right-hand side.
- Select the exam you wish to take from the list of choices provided.
- Register and create an account.
- To schedule an exam with a DoD site, select the button MILITARY COMMUNITY looking for on-base test centers, please click here.
- In the State/Province box provided, select Armed Forces, Europe & Other from the drop-down menu, click search, and select your desired DoD location to schedule an exam.
