Join us for our Juneteenth book of the month as we discuss the WINNER OF THE 2024 LIBRARY OF CONGRESS PRIZE FOR AMERICAN FICTION –The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store.
The residents of Chicken Hill, a working-class neighborhood in Pottstown, PA, are excavating land to make way for a new development when they discover a skeleton at the bottom of an abandoned well. Uncovering who it is and how it got there begins to reveal community secrets that can only be overcome by the faith and friendship of the neighbors who may have their differences but overcome them through their belief in humanity.
