Learn to lead large projects by earning an IT degree with a concentration in project management.

Gain advanced IT management skills while building expertise for your project management certification with an online master’s degree in information technology with a project management concentration from UMGC. The concentration courses include project risk management, project procurement management, and advanced project methods, while the core IT courses give you the tools you need to take on leadership roles.

Mission Statement: The mission of the project management concentration is to complement general business management and information technology (IT) skills with a robust combination of foundational and advanced project management expertise that equips business and IT managers (from the MSM and MSIT degree programs) to effectively manage and lead a wide spectrum of projects—ranging from simple to exceptionally large and complex. The overarching goal is to emphasize and develop a blend of hard and soft skills that prepares students for management and leadership roles in any industry or work environment.
