General Master's Degree Requirements
- You must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher at all times.
- All degree requirements must be fulfilled within five consecutive years.
- Any transfer credits must have been earned within the five-year time frame to be applied toward a graduate degree.
Accelerated Pathway
If you completed your undergraduate degree in homeland security at UMGC within the last two years, an accelerated pathway between UMGC undergraduate and graduate programs in homeland security allows you to reduce your total coursework for a related graduate degree by up to 6 credits.
If eligible for the pathway, you may be awarded credit for the following courses:

- (3 Credits, HSMN 625)
To be eligible for the pathway, you must complete the bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
