Professor Stephan Stram’s educational background includes an MBA, MSITM, and M.S. CST, and he boasts over 35 years of extensive IT experience, specializing in UNIX, programming, management, and databases. He is passionate about applying his skills to help students to reach their technical goals.

Regardless of whether Stephan is teaching in Poland, Germany, or Italy, he tries to meet UMGC students where they are, as educational goals remain consistent no matter the location. Stephan recognizes that there are diverse educational needs in his classroom, and he tries to tailor his approach to fit individual students. His aim is to cultivate an inclusive and empowering learning environment so that his students can succeed in class and meet their educational goals.

Among his many passions, two hold a special place in his heart: the great outdoors and traveling. These passions have taken him to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro and have allowed him to explore over 40 countries. Stephan looks forward to conquering more summits and visiting more countries soon.
