Professor Renaldo Walker's teaching philosophy is posited to reach students from the position of where they are in life as students, and not from a position of where he is in his own as an educator. This philosophy allows him to discover "the need behind the need," of students, which is significant in helping them to bridge themselves from where they are to where they are trying to arrive.

Professor Walker began teaching with UMGC Europe as an adjunct, part-time faculty member in 2014. Later he worked for five years in their Human Resources Department at the Kaiserslautern headquarters. Since the academic year 2020-2021, he has been able to focus purely on his passion for teaching UMGC students and is pleased to be in the classroom full-time serving as an Overseas Collegiate Associate Professor. In support of his teaching of UMGC students combined with his aspiration for a continuum of learning, he is also currently a UMGC student pursuing a DBA, Doctor of Business Administration.

In addition to teaching, Professor Walker is a certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Practitioner, and in his free time enjoys traveling with his wife and their three sons, as well as anything fitness related.
