I have taught for UMGC on & off since 2017. I love to instill an appreciation of the natural world in my students and really enjoy teaching my topics. For as long as I can remember, I've been hooked on understanding the innerworkings of the biological and chemical basis of life. I'm keen to share my knowledge and experiences in the classroom, and in a way that is relatable to everyday life. My interest in nutrition has especially grown the past several years. Hippocrates is claimed to have said 'let food be thy medicine'. I couldn't agree more.
Outside of teaching for UMGC, I work for a start-up in Cambridge, UK, transforming natural polymers into materials with barrier properties for coatings, films and microencapsulation applications. I have previously worked for global Biotech and in academia at the University of Cambridge, UK.
In my spare time I brew and cook experimentally, read Sci-Fi, play guitar (heavy metal!) and play video games when time allows.
