I am a statistician and educator with a background in statistics, mathematics, machine learning, and data science. I hold an MSc in Mathematics and have experience teaching students with diverse academic and professional backgrounds. My approach to teaching is grounded in curiosity, critical thinking, and practical application. I want students not only to learn how to perform statistical methods, but also to understand what the numbers mean, what assumptions underlie them, and how to communicate their findings clearly.
I believe statistics is most valuable when it helps us ask better questions and make better decisions. In my courses, I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable questioning results, making mistakes, and exploring ideas rather than simply memorizing formulas.
I started teaching at UMGC in 2026 and am particularly interested in statistics, data science, and their applications to real-world problems.
Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, painting, origami, and cooking.
