I have always been curious about why people make the choices they do, whether it is starting a business, saving money, or making decisions that do not always seem rational. This curiosity led me to complete a PhD in Economics and Finance and continues to inspire both my teaching and research today.
I enjoy helping students see that economics is not just about graphs, equations, or markets. It is about understanding people, their choices, and the world around us. My aim is to make every class practical, engaging, and connected to real life situations, so students leave with ideas they can apply beyond the classroom.
As Nobel Prize winning economist Daniel Kahneman said, "We can be blind to the obvious, and we are also blind to our blindness." I believe this is what makes economics so fascinating. Every day, we discover something new about how people think, decide, and interact.
Outside of teaching, I work with a fintech company, using data and technology to develop innovative financial solutions. My research focuses on behavioural economics, entrepreneurship, and sustainable finance. I enjoy exploring new ideas, discovering different perspectives, asking interesting questions, and finding the economics hidden in everyday life. I look forward to learning with students and showing that economics is not just about numbers, but about people, choices, and the stories behind them.
