Dr. Bruce Kwiatkowski is a Collegiate Professor who started teaching with UMGC Europe in September, 2017. He received his PhD in American and German History as well as his Master of Arts in German, Master of Arts in History, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo. Dr. Kwiatkowski’s interests include German language, literature and history.

He really enjoys helping students to relate to these topics in understanding the present and also in helping them to develop their own personal perspective and narrative of history. Dr. Kwiatkowski believes this helps students gain a better understanding of their identities and roles in society.

Teaching German is especially rewarding since it is an immediately practical skill that helps students in their societal, family, and work relationships.

Other items that he finds interesting are reading biographies and history books, hiking, travel, and exercise.
