Professor Brandon Derrickson

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, I am a distinguished 20 year United States Air Force veteran whose career reflects a deep commitment to service, leadership, and continuous growth. As a Senior Military Executive, I have guided cross functional teams through strategic transformation initiatives and delivered measurable results across risk management, process improvement, and digital modernization.

My military journey includes assignments at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall in the United Kingdom, Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base in Germany, and Joint Base Andrews in the National Capital Region, culminating in my retirement from Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, Florida.

I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at Trident University. I hold a Master of Business Administration from Capella University and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University. My academic foundation is strengthened by industry leading certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ITIL 4, and CompTIA Security+.

My professional and academic philosophy is rooted in an insatiable desire for continuous, lifelong learning in an ever advancing society. My teaching approach emphasizes practical experience, real world application, and active student engagement to create learning that is impactful, enduring, and empowering.
