Before joining higher education, I was a practicing clinician in physical therapy. I worked extensively with patients in a variety of settings, treating musculoskeletal disorders, and had a strong interest in working with patients with neuromuscular disorders such as Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, and cerebral vascular accident (stroke).

I take a comprehensive approach to teaching, incorporating many different styles to provide students with an experience that goes beyond the traditional classroom. I like to employ creative approaches through interactive class activities, group discussions, and demonstrations to deepen students' understanding of concepts being taught. This mixed approach reflects my dedication to ensuring that students in my class not only grasp the material but also find enthusiasm for science.

I am a member of the Scientific Exploration Society (SES) and outside of my commitments in the classroom, I like to dedicate my time to various interests, including fitness, hiking, nutrition, cooking, traveling, and volunteering with the USO.
