Greetings! Since early in my career, I have mentored and taught military personnel and civilians in office environments, classrooms, and conference rooms, applying my time and efforts to help others improve their knowledge and their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. In my teaching style, I encourage everyone to engage in discussions, share ideas, and leverage the wealth of internet-based information, tools, and capabilities to expand the scope of the subject and help come up with alternative ways to solve problems.
I am a longtime professional supporting the Department of Defense as a scholarly practitioner with expertise in defensive and operational cybersecurity engineering and as a technologist. I hold many certifications including CISSP, CSSP, ITILv4, Associate C|CISO, and PMP. I am also a retired Army reservist. Throughout my professional career as a mentor, tutor, and teacher, I’ve been fortunate to have worked with a diverse collection of mentees and students of various ages and ethnicities
I am also a lifelong learner seeking ways to stay abreast of leading technologies such as AI and quantum computing. When I do have downtime, I enjoy the outdoors, traveling in Europe, and scuba diving.
I look forward to getting to know you and how I can help you be successful!
