Good day to all, and thank you for taking your time in reading my introduction. I am Vito Seminara, a seasoned professional with diverse background in teaching, international logistics and education. As for the latter, I hold a MD in EU Governance and a BD in Politics and International Relations both taken at the Università degli Studi di Catania.

Over the past few decades I have lived and worked for a shipping corporation for nearly two years in Norfolk, VA, then spent over four year in Rome before relocating to my birthplace in Sicily. Since 2016, I have been an Adjunct Faculty member at UMGC, teaching Government and Politics (GVPT) classes.

My teaching method is mostly based on the so called "ars maieutica", i.e. helping the students to give birth and build their own ideas through a critical thinking process of dialogue and questioning and by stimulating curiosity and interest. My goal is to create an interactive and engaging learning environment with the use of media and internet in order to compare theory with real-world events.

As for my spare time and hobbies, I really love to play tennis (double because of incurring aging) at least once a week, traveling (I have visited most of the European countries and more) and spend quality time with my family and friends.
