I am a dedicated scholar in psychology, criminology, and sociology, whose career focuses on examining the intersections of these fields and their impact on public health and social justice. I hold a DPhil in Law and Criminology from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Psychology from Arden University, and a combined Law degree and MA in International Studies from Flinders University, where I specialized in Health Securitisation.
My passion for education stems from its potential to drive social change. In my teaching, I encourage students to think critically about social issues and consider them in their broader context, highlighting the interconnectedness of psychology, criminology, and sociology. My aim is to equip students with insights and skills that empower them to make meaningful contributions to society, regardless of their chosen career paths.
Beyond my academic work, I’m committed to community service and regularly lend my expertise to anti-violence efforts. I also practice Pilates to support both physical and mental well-being. Balancing community service and self-care reflects my holistic approach to life and work, allowing me to bring a grounded perspective to my students and research. This approach shapes my teaching and reinforces the values I hold around social responsibility and personal growth.
