In addition to teaching courses in cybersecurity, information technology, and criminal justice for UMGC Europe, I currently work as a contractor for U.S. Army counterintelligence as a computer scientist, specializing in digital forensics, and I hold numerous IT certifications: CISSP, Net +, Sec +, CEH, CNDA, DoD Certified Computer Crime Investigator, and Digital Forensic Examiner.
I began my law enforcement career with the U.S. Secret Service, St. Louis Field Office in 1998. My career and education includes the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), U.S. Secret Service Academy- James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), Protective Nominee Driving Course (JJRTC), Seized Computer Evidence Recovery (FLETC), Cell Phone Tracking Course (JJRTC), Essentials of Education and Instruction Course (JJRTC), Rescue Swimmer School (JJRTC), Protective Operations Driving Course (JJRTC), Protective Detail Training (JJRTC), Counter Surveillance Course (JJRTC), Firearms Instructor (JJRTC), U.S. Secret Service Critical Systems Protection Training (Los Angeles), Introduction to Networks and Computer Hardware, Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DCITA), Computer Incident Responders Course (DCITA), Forensics and Intrusions in a Windows Environment (DCITA), and forensics courses at the NATO School in Oberammergau, Germany.
I’m a native of Port Jefferson, New York. I earned my BA from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and my MA from Rivier College. At UMASS Lowell I was a member of the 1988 NCAA (Div II) championship basketball team. I have lived in Wiesbaden since 2013, and my hobbies are computers and building model planes and tanks.
