I am an educator, counselor, and lifelong learner with over five years of experience supporting students and adult learners across diverse educational and professional environments. I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Business as well as a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies, providing me with a strong interdisciplinary foundation that bridges business, law, and global perspectives.
I have taught and facilitated learning in both K–12 and adult education settings, including my current role as a Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Career Counselor supporting U.S. service members in Germany. My professional experience allows me to guide learners through academic development, career transitions, and long-term goal planning with a practical and student-centered approach.
My teaching philosophy centers on practical application, inclusivity, and student empowerment. I believe learning is most effective when academic theory is clearly connected to real-world experience. In the classroom, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to think critically, engage in meaningful discussion, and apply course concepts to their professional and personal goals. My background in counseling and coaching enables me to mentor students holistically and support their academic success.
I am particularly passionate about working with adult learners and military-affiliated students, and I am proud to support UMGC's mission of accessible, high-quality education worldwide. I am bilingual in English and Vietnamese and enjoy connecting with students from multicultural backgrounds. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, modeling, and spending time with my dog—often exploring new places together.
