Greetings! I have been teaching in the Biology Department at UMGC for 10 years in mainland Japan and Okinawa. Prior to that, I owned a private chiropractic practice in the U.S., working with people and other animals.
I enjoy teaching because it's very creative, and I’m proud to play a role in my students’ success. My goal for each class is to provide a stimulating environment that allows students to not only understand the content of the course, but also to practice important skills, such as scientific reasoning and cooperative problem-solving, which will serve them throughout their lives.
After seven years of island adventures, I am so pleased to transfer to northern Italy to continue to learn how to best serve my students and to indulge in “la dolce vita”!
