I have been with UMGC since 2021, teaching Math and Science in Qatar. I have held math and science teaching assignments in the U.S. at the University of Houston and Antelope Valley College for the past 18 years.
I received a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M University. My research and publications focus on BioEnvironmental Engineering and bioremediation.
I had previous US engineering duties in both the private and public sectors. My teaching philosophy, which evolved from my professional engineering and teaching experience, promotes real-world applications and case studies to help students relate theory to practice.
I employ learning techniques including teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving to motivate students to achieve their goals. My interests include traveling, outdoor camping, hiking, and fishing. I have a diverse background and am passionate about learning and experiencing other cultures.
