I am a seasoned IT and cybersecurity professional with over two decades of distinguished service in both Defense and civilian sectors. With an extensive background in Information Systems Technology, System Administration, and Cyber Operations, I built a career marked by leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in education and professional development.
My career began with a long and successful tenure in the United States Army, where I managed complex IT systems and lead cross-functional teams. My military experience laid a strong foundation for my roles in the Air Force Civilian sector, as a DOD Contractor, and in the private sector.
I am a dedicated educator, holding a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity Leadership from Capitol Technology University and multiple master’s degrees, including an MBA and M.S. degrees in Cyber Security and Information Assurance, and Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. My academic credentials are complemented by a suite of industry certifications, including ISC² CISSP, ISC² CCSP, CompTIA CySA+, and more.
My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that education is a transformative tool that empowers individuals and strengthens communities. I am dedicated to advancing the fields of business, IT, and cybersecurity through teaching, research, and community engagement. I am particularly interested in contributing to curriculum development, mentoring students, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance academic programs.
