I am a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, with a passion for staying active both physically and mentally. I currently serve the Wiesbaden military community as a UMGC staff member, working as one of a few Logistics Supervisors within UMGC in Europe.
My professional work focuses on supporting adult and military-connected students in aligning their education with career goals and navigating pathways to persistence and completion.
My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that education should be relational and transformational rather than transactional. I strive to meet students where they are and recognize that each learner brings unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths into the classroom. My goal is to help students leverage those strengths to build confidence, think critically, and pursue meaningful academic and professional goals.
Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, I enjoy playing ice hockey and tennis, traveling, and exploring Europe. Each February you can usually find me skating in the Armed Forces Alpine Classic in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
