I started teaching for University of Maryland Europe as a part-time adjunct faculty member in 2018 following completion of my Doctor of Business Administration program.
I have lived and worked in Germany for the past 35 years, having completed 11 years of U.S. Army active-duty service and another 24 years of U.S. Army Reserve component service while simultaneously working in the defense industry for major defense contractors and service providers.
I completed my Associates degree, Bachelor degree, and Master’s degree programs within the University of Maryland Europe system while working fulltime, so I understand the challenges of being a scholar-practitioner and living, working, and studying in Europe.
I enjoy teaching part-time for UMGC -Europe as it provides me an opportunity to give back to the U.S. military community in Europe by sharing the knowledge and experiences I have acquired over the years.
I am originally from Sandusky, Ohio, but grew up in Kentucky and Florida prior to entering military service after my first year at a community college in central Florida.
You never know where life’s paths will take you, so I believe we have to make the best of the current situation and to properly plan and prepare ourselves for the future towards achieving goals and objectives and to make dreams come true.
