I am an artist and educator committed to developing applied theatre practice as a basis for community empowerment. For the past fourteen years, I've had the honor to teach in the Communication Arts and Sciences department at Bronx Community College.
My research specialization is in applied theatre practice and ethnodrama addressing women’s issues with a specific focus on political representation, aging, and domestic violence. My recent article, “Two Truths and a Lie: An ethnodramatic exploration of resistance and relationships between women in our current political and social climate," was published in Qualitative Inquiry, and my article “Ethnodrama/Ethnotheatre is being published in the Routledge Encyclopedia of Qualitative Inquiry in 2025.
My great passions are teaching, learning, and traveling. I've had the privilege to visit over thirty countries and have lived in Wisconsin, Arizona, and New York. I'm very excited for this next adventure with UMGC!
