Hello! With over 15 years of experience in teaching and research, my work has focused on applications of molecular biosciences, biotechnology, and bioengineering within life sciences. Now, I’m excited to bring this knowledge to the University of Maryland Global Campus, where I’ll be teaching Concepts of Biology and Biology Laboratory classes.

Loving both scientific research and sharing what I’ve learned with others, I’ve mentored and trained many students and technicians, helping them develop their research skills. My goal in the classroom is to create an engaging and interactive learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically and learn biological concepts. I strive to make complex ideas accessible and spark curiosity in every student I teach.

When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me planning my next ultra trail running adventure or scouting the perfect location for an Ironman triathlon. Staying active has always been a part of my life - I’m an IFPA Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and enjoy Muay Thai and other martial arts. I grew up playing classical piano with my grandfather, and now I’m fortunate to share that passion with my daughters while also enjoying salsa dancing with my husband.
